RAIDEA'S TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Dealing with Conflict

Interacting with the variety of personalities we encounter will at some point inherently create situations where our own way of dealing with situations will be different from someone else. How we approach differences and the type of outcome experienced is dependent on how each individual deals with conflict.

This training program is meant to create awareness of your own style of communication and dealing with conflict in the workplace and sensitize participants on how to interact with other personalities.

Course Content

  • Patterns of dealing with conflict – People do not follow one style of dealing with conflict. People follow a pattern for dealing with conflict depending on circumstances. Participants validate their tendencies or pattern to be more self-aware as issues arise in the work place.
  • Review case studies about patterns of dealing with conflict
  • How expectations and ‘it should have been’ create personal turmoil and can drive the conflict style used in a situation
  • Pros and Cons of the 5 styles of managing conflict as they are used – what situations warrant which style
  • Reading the other person’s potential style and pattern
  • Your style of interaction in a group/team
  • Learn and practice the three step method for communicating ideas
  • Understanding the value of agreeing to disagree where appropriate
  •  Methods of consistently moving towards synergy
