A Path To Zero Defects
Poka-Yoke is a systematic approach to eliminating the possibility of a mistake. This principle applies to all types of work even though it is typically applied the most where physical materials are transformed into something else.
The objective of the Poka-Yoke program is to challenge beliefs and assumptions about errors and defects so that improvements in work flow, material utilization, waste, and quality can be attained so that real bottom-line results can be achieved by an organization.
